  1. Open the Chrome Web Store listing

Use Chrome or another Chromium browser (Edge, Brave, Arc) — Firefox and Safari can't install it.

  2. Add it to your browser

Click “Add to Chrome”, then confirm with “Add extension” in the small dialog.

You know this worked when: The button changes to “Remove from Chrome”

  3. Pin it to the toolbar

Click the puzzle-piece icon by the address bar, then the pin next to Dripwriter Origin.

You know this worked when: The Dripwriter icon sits in your toolbar

  4. Open a Google Doc

Any document works — a blank one is fine.

    Open Google Docs

You know this worked when: A document is open in Google Docs

  5. Try it in the document

Click the Dripwriter icon and paste some text — it types it into the Doc at a human pace.

If something goes wrong

Nothing here can damage your computer, and every step can be run again safely. If a command fails, the usual cause is the step before it not having finished.
