Can you install Lidless on Windows?

Lidless is a Mac-only app

Lidless works by flipping macOS's own SleepDisabled power setting through a small root helper it installs as a LaunchDaemon. That flag, that helper and the API behind them are macOS's — Windows has no equivalent to port them to, so there is nothing for a Windows branch to install.

What you can do instead

  • Use PowerToys Awake — also on publik — plus Windows's own lid-close setting.
  • Set Control Panel, Power Options, "When I close the lid" to Do nothing on both power and battery.
  • Keep a Mac for the long agent runs; Lidless is free and needs macOS 13 or newer.

This is a limit of the phone and computer combination, not of Lidless. Every other combination has a full guide.
