Data deletion.
What publik holds, and how to have it deleted
To delete your publik account and everything tied to it — your email, your onboarding answers, your download history, your usage on the dashboard — sign in and use Delete your account at the bottom of your profile settings. It happens at once, and any plan is cancelled with it. If you cannot sign in, email privacy@publikhq.com from the address on the account and we do it for you, within 30 days, with a reply when it is done. The privacy policy lists the few records kept after that, and why.
If you commented on, or sent a message to, an Instagram account whose creator has publik run chatmany for them, publik holds a little about that exchange on the creator’s behalf so their automation can work: see the chatmany section of the privacy page for exactly what and for how long. To have it removed:
- From Instagram. On the Instagram or Facebook account you used, open Settings → Apps and websites, find the app and remove it, choosing the option to delete your data. Meta sends publik a signed deletion request, publik answers with a confirmation code, and that code opens this page with the status on it.
- By email. Write to privacy@publikhq.com from any address, saying which Instagram account you commented from. Deletion is done within 30 days and you get the confirmation code by reply.
- Nothing at all. Per-exchange records expire on their own after 90 days, whether or not anyone asks.
A creator who has publik host chatmany for them can delete their whole tenant from their publik dashboard: their connection to Instagram, their automations and every per-exchange record go with it, and publik stops metering them the same minute.
